Last night we took Erik to his first Phillies game- exactly six months to the day that the Phillies won the World Series. Unfortunately, the Phils lost to the Nationals...BOO!
Today the boys and I met up with some friends at the zoo. Nicholas had a great time (and I'm sure Erik did, too) and didn't want to leave. This is the elephant statue as we were getting ready to go home.
Nicholas went to take a nap today, and I had put him in his room in shorts and a tee shirt (it was 90+ degrees). When I went to check on him I found him in long pants & shirt and passed out on his floor among his toys!
Happy SIX months, Erik!
Nicholas and Erik with Grandmother and Grandfather in their backyard.
Just a pretty flower from my parents' backyard.
My parents and I took the boys to the National Zoo in Washington, DC today. Nicholas LOVES the zoo, so he was super excited, and it was a gorgeous day for it. Here he is at the entrance when we arrived.
We're spending a few days at my parents' house, so today we had a playdate with my girlfriend Rebecca, and her kids. Here is Alex, Nicholas, and Seth at the playground.

Me and the boys wearing our orange today in support of Stellan, as we pray for him during his surgery.
I took this picture of Nicholas right before we learned that tonight's Phillies game was cancelled due to rain. He was so upset- he had really been looking forward to going to the game with Daddy.
I bribed Nicholas to let me take a few pictures. It really didn't work, but I thought this one of him laughing hysterically was cute!
The "Nicholas" tree is starting to bloom. Next week we need to go buy an "Erik" tree. We don't know if it will be another Japanese Maple or maybe a Flowering Cherry.
We had a playdate today with Maddie. I caught her making this silly face, and knew it would be today's picture!
Yes, I attempted to get a picture of the boys in their Big Brother/Little Brother shirts. Of course Nicholas runs when he sees the camera. (Unless I bribe him.) And so this is the best picture I got, right before my battery died.
While my brother was in town we attempted to get the five cousins together for a nice picture. Let's just say it was QUITE difficult! I wanted to take pictures outside, but the rainy weather foiled my plans. Yes, my kids are still in pajamas, and yes, Nicholas is in mismatched pajamas. Some battles aren't worth fighting.
My brother and his family came to visit, and these are my nieces- Julia and Dennese. You can see that Erik's big, brown eyes come from my side!
I've been waiting to be able to take this picture! Today was the first day Erik got his piggy toes in his mouth, and I just happened to have my camera ready!
Daddy & Nicholas on Ocean City's beach during the Easter Egg hunt.
A pretty daffodil- one of my favorite signs of spring!
Handsome Erik, watching one of the cats in the windowsill.
Nicholas was excited to get mail today- an Easter card (with stickers!) from Opa & Nana.
Erik trying some sweet potatoes for the first time.
Ken and I before the Flyers game. (Flyers won and secured a spot in the Stanley Cup playoffs!)
Forgot to take pictures today (it was a yucky, rainy day anyway!) so here is another one from yesterday. Erik (decked out in his opening day Phillies gear) with his G- MomMom at her birthday party!
Today we had a party for Ken's grandmother's birthday. Here's a picture of MomMom (or G-MomMom) with all of her grandchildren, their significant others, and her three great-grandsons. (Oh, and Dallas...the crazy dog!)
Erik modeling for mommy before his nap. Sporting his hippy tye-dye outfit.
We had some crazy weather today. Cold rain, then warm sun, more rain, lots of wind, and then a beautiful double rainbow!
This is Nicholas' new train that he chose as his reward for learning to use the bathroom like a big boy! We started in big boy underpants on Monday, and he had it down pat by today! He chose this new train and a puzzle as his reward, and also got a special dinner at Chik-Fil-A, where he got to play in their play area after eating. He told us he had a very good day!
A self-portrait I took at the request of some friends who wanted to see my weight loss. I'm about 50-55 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight.
