I did not take this picture- it was sent to me from my brother (who I believe is the one to take it). This is from his deployment in Iraq. Thought it was a pretty cool shot- better than any picture I took today!
Mr. Erik is four months old today! Here's his smily, happy self!
Someone was asking me to show them pictures of my wedding pictures, so I was taking some shots of my wedding album. The original picture is by Clair Pruett studios. This is one of my favorite shots from my wedding.
Playdate aftermath. You can read more about it on my other blog.
I had other pictures that I would have chosen for today's post, but I let Nicholas pick which one he wanted. And he chose this one of him and his buddy, BeBop. Oftentimes we will find BeBop sleeping at the foot of Nicholas' bed.
Forgot to take a picture for today, so here is another one from yesterday. Nicholas digging into his dessert (a brownie) from the kids meal Nana gave him. Can't blame him- I'd go for the dessert first, as well!
Nicholas from the get go was attached to his Nuk (or pacifer as some may call it). Erik will take it, but only really to fall asleep. And then he spits it out. Lately I've noticed he likes to suck on his fingers though. Not his thumb, but his middle & ring finger. (Sometimes his pointer, but not often.) I hope it doesn't become too bad of a habit. I can take away a pacifier, but no finger chopping going on here!
Ken & his friend were playing a game of chess, so I took the opportunity to practice with my depth of field. Got a few cool shots, but this was my fave.
My best friend asked me to watch her daughter for her this evening while she went out to dinner. She kept apologizing saying that Maddie was really cranky. Let's just say it was the EASIEST BABYSITTING JOB EVER! They left for dinner, Maddie & I played for five minutes and then Maddie got into jammies. I then sat her on the couch to warm her bottle and when I came back into the living room this is how I found her.
Tonight Erik attended his first Philadelphia Flyers game versus the Buffalo Sabres. (Flyers won 6-3). He was so enthralled by the game- all he wanted to do was watch and take everything in! Here he is sitting on Daddy's lap.
Just a quick snapshot of Nicholas grabbing a snack of Fruit Loops.
Now that Erik is getting a bit bigger he is able to have a bit more interaction with Nicholas. Today Erik was laying on Nicholas' lap while Nicholas showed him his race car. The two of them are already the best of friends!
Anyone who knows my husband knows that he does not have much in terms of fashion sense. He will be the first to admit it! These are his 'comfy pants' that I have deemed to be the UGLIEST things ever. He loves them. Says they're comfy. I'm glad he doesn't leave the house wearing them!
The crazy, Lightning McQueen loving Nicholas, trying to drive my truck after church!
The little cousins- Erik & Michael, on their first Valentine's Day. (Note- picture was taken by Michael Sr., not me. I forgot my camera!)
This is what happens when you let two 2.5 year olds loose to play. Pure destruction. Nicholas & Michael had a fun playdate though.
Erik enjoying his new Jumperoo. He can barely touch on his tippy toes, but he has fun!
It was a GORGEOUS day today- record breaking temps of close to 70 degrees. Yes, 70 degrees. In February. In Philadelphia. We headed to the playground with the boys' cousins. Here is Nicholas taking a break to get a drink.
The camera was MIA today, so this picture was from Saturday. Nicholas was enjoying the playground despite the fact there was still snow on the ground.
Today I put together Erik's new Jumperoo, and when I was finished I found BeBop hiding out in the box. So kids and pets seem to prefer the containers these expensive gifts come in!
It was a beautiful day today, so we decided to hang outside for awhile this afternoon. BeBop sat in the window the entire time staring at us, longing to be let out.
"It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want To"Today was Madelyn's (my goddaughter) first birthday. She was NOT too fond of her crown headband. Other than that, she had a wonderful day!
This is how most of my pictures of the boys turns out- no one looking at me and blank stares. On another note, Erik finally is holding his head up enough that he can sit in his Bumbo for several minutes. He enjoys being able to sit with the rest of us at the table.
Today was a very cold, bitter day so I took Nicholas to the mall to play in the kids play area. He had a blast running around, and as a result fell asleep in the car on the ride home!
My favorite room in the house- my kitchen! When I saw this kitchen I knew this was the house we'd end up buying. This is only a small portion of it- I was making perogies for dinner.
We finally got enough snow for Nicholas to be able to play in it. Here is a picture of him and his first time sledding!
I jumped on the Twilight bandwagon, and I'm currently reading this. I'm sad that it is almost over! Great series though!
I took about 100 pictures of Erik today, and this one was the winner!
